Meaning
The Mahamrityunjaya Mantra is one of the most powerful mantras dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is known as the “Death-Conquering Mantra” and appears in the Rig Veda (Mandala 7), composed by Sage Vasishtha.
Complete meaning: “We worship the three-eyed Lord Shiva, who is fragrant and who nourishes all beings. Just as a ripe cucumber is naturally freed from its vine, may He liberate us from the bondage of death, but not from immortality.”
