Translation

Hail Lord Ganapati, abode of virtues, best among poets, the merciful one. Remover of obstacles, creator of auspiciousness, hail, hail to the son of Girija (Parvati). Hail, hail, hail Ganapati, king of the ganas! You fill all with auspiciousness and accomplish good deeds. Hail the elephant-faced, abode and giver of happiness. Hail Vishwa Vinayak, the bestower of intellect. Curved-trunked, mighty-bodied, lord of the gods, Ganesha who bestows knowledge and accomplishment. With the mouse as vehicle, fond of modak, son of Shambhu, elephant-faced. Anointed with sandalwood, with a serpent's hood upon the head. Served by the gods, a vermilion tilak adorns the face. On the chest, a pearl necklace presents matchless beauty. O such auspicious and beautiful king of ganas, bestow your grace and fulfill my tasks. Hail the embodiment of truth, consciousness, and bliss! Hail the supreme lord, Gananatha! Seated on a jewel-studded throne. The beauty of the eyes is vast and splendid. The Lord's four arms shine magnificently, like the luster of gems and the radiance of the sun. Modak and laddu adorn the hands. Thus adorned is the one who is worshipped first among all. Great is the glory of the poet Shankara. Immeasurable is the glory of Ganapati Baba. Meditate on him in the mind and accomplish your tasks. Hail Mangalmurti Ganesha, king of the ganas. Bestow your grace, hail the merciful to the humble. O greatly compassionate one, shower your blessings. You are called Ekadanta (single-tusked), embodiment of dual energies. Five arms adorned with serpents. A crown of Shesha adorns the forehead. This splendor enchants the minds of great sages. Beloved son of Shiva and Parvati! O Ganesha, abode of virtues, grant us your boon. First Ganesha's worship was resolved upon, then all the other gods were acknowledged. The gods accepted you as the first to be worshipped. Without Ganesha, none is recognized. Bestower of eight siddhis and nine treasures. Giver of all kinds of happiness to all people. The sun, moon, and planets are counted by you. Billions of universes extend from you. You are the refuge of wisdom, strength, and knowledge. Taking your refuge brings welfare. You are the beloved lord of Parvati. You are the darling child of Gauri. Adorned with vermilion, your form is limitless. Extremely beautiful is your elephant face. The crescent moon adorns the head. The laddu in hand presents a magnificent sight. A vermilion tilak adorns the forehead. The sight enchants all devotees. The glory of Ganapati Baba is infinite. We take the oath of truth again and again. Whoever keeps worshipping you, the Lord's grace always flows upon them. Destroyer of obstacles, creator of auspiciousness, O Lord, bestow grace and remove our sorrow. O Maharaj, fulfill our desires. Without you, no task can be accomplished. Bestow grace, O Lord Ganesha. Bestow grace, O supreme Lord. Remover of devotees' fears, giver of infinite joy, fond of modak, with the mouse as your ride. Remover of obstacles, creator of all auspiciousness, the form of Om, refuge of the Vedas. Ganesha assisted in the churning of the ocean. He pleased the hearts of Vishnu and Lakshmi. Sri Vedavyasa dictated and mighty Ganapati wrote the Mahabharata. God of gods, ever bringing happiness, granting prosperity and powers, saving the devotees. I bow to the lotus feet of Sri Ganesha. Bestow grace and rest in my heart. O Ganapati, lord and liberator from troubles! Primordial deity, you are the inner knower. Remembering you, all obstacles are destroyed. Prosperity, accomplishment, and knowledge all come. Whoever sings the Ganesh Chalisa attains all the desired fruits of the heart. Whoever recites this daily receives new blessings from Ganapati's grace every day.
